Before inserting the SIM card into your SaveFamily watch, it’s essential to deactivate the SIM PIN code.
This is because the device’s system performs periodic automatic updates, which may not complete properly if the SIM is PIN-protected.
Having the SIM PIN enabled can cause the following issues with the watch:
- Automatic software updates may fail, affecting stability and security.
- SIM reading errors, preventing the watch from detecting the card or maintaining coverage.
- Unstable performance such as connection loss, restarts, or freezing.
- Software issues that interfere with basic functions like calls, messaging, or location tracking.
To avoid these issues and ensure your SaveFamily device works correctly, we recommend disabling the SIM PIN before inserting the card.
How to disable the SIM PIN
On Android:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap on "Security" or "Lock screen and security" (may vary by device).
- Go to "SIM card lock" or "SIM lock settings".
- Disable "Lock SIM card" or "SIM PIN".
- Enter the current PIN to confirm.
On iPhone (iOS):
- Open Settings.
- Go to "Mobile Data" or "Cellular".
- Tap on "SIM PIN".
- Turn off the SIM PIN option.
- Enter your current PIN to confirm.
